From protestation to pleading in Ivorian political discourse: analysis of the address to the nation by Guillaume Soro

Abstract

Dans cette contribution, nous analysons les manifestations discursives de la protestation dans le discours politique. Cette analyse faite sur le discours de Guillaume Soro produit le 07 mars 2020 en réponse à celui du président de la République Alassane Ouattara tenu devant le Parlement réuni en Congrès le 05 mars 2020, permet de voir que la protestation apparait dans un discours électoral comme le soubassement d’un plaidoyer pro domo. En d’autres termes, le sujet parlant dénonce, disqualifie son adversaire pour se valoriser ; et ce, par le biais de diverses stratégies.

Abstract
In this contribution, we analyze the discursive manifestations of protestation in political discourse. This analysis made on the speech of Guillaume Soro produced on March 07, 2020 in response to that of the President of the Republic Alassane Ouattara held before the Parliament assembled in Congress on March 05, 2020, allows to see that the protest appears in an electoral speech as the basics of pro domo advocacy. In other words, the speaking subject denounces, disqualifies his opponent to enhance himself; and this, through various strategies.
