The Lexical Issues in the Introduction of "Ma'jam Matn Al-Lughah" -Description and Analysis-

Abstract

The introductory discourse is generally considered one of the most important elements in linguistic dictionaries as it sets the tone for the lexicographer's approach, organization, and research methodology. It highlights the most significant linguistic and lexicographic issues that serve its purpose. Our study aims to read the “Thesaurus of The Language Textual” introduction descriptively and analytically, focusing on the presented lexicographic issues. The conclusion was that “Thesaurus of The Language Textual” introduction abounds with lexicographic issues of pluralization and arrangement. It also includes lexicographic criticism in its various aspects, from criticism of lexicographic elements to linguistic criticism. It refers to some adopted symbols and abbreviations in the text, among other elements that suggest that it truly embodies the prelude to the lexicographic theory laid out for dictionary making.  

Résumé

يُعدّ الخطاب المقدّماتي من أهمّ العناصر الضّروريّة في المعاجم، يُثبت فيه المُعجميّ منهجه، ويُسطّر تفاصيله المتعلّقة بالتّرتيب الدّاخلي والخارجي وطريقة البحث فيه، كما يُشير إلى أهمّ القضايا اللُّغويّة والمعجميّة الَّتِي تخدم عمله، ونسعى في هذه الدّراسة إلى قراءة مقدّمة متن اللُّغة قراءة وصفيّة تحليليّة لعناصرها، مُركّزين اهتمامنا على القضايا المعجميّة المبثوثة فيها. وقد توصّل البحث إلى أنّ مقدّمة متن اللُّغة تزخر بالقضايا المُعجميّة مُمثلة في قضيتي الجمع والوضع بعناصرهما، بالإضافة إلى النّقد المعجمي بمظاهره المتنوعة من نقد لعناصر الصّناعة المعجميّة ونقد لغويّ، بالإضافة إلى إشارته لبعض الرّموز والمختصرات المعتمدة في المتن، وغيرها من العناصر الَّتِي توحي بأنّها تُجسّد بحقّ النّظريّة المُعجميّة المُمهدة لصناعة المعجم.
