Résumé

الملخص: إنّ كتاب الجيم معجم لغويّ تراثيّ ألَّفه أبو عمرو الشّيباني وهو أحد الثّقات في الرّواية، وقد عُرف بعنايته الكبيرة باللّغة العربيّة عموما وجمع غريبها وأشعارها خصوصا، وإنّ مؤلّفه ٌ-الجيم- يعدّ ّذخرا للّغة العربيّة نظرا لانفراده بجمع الغريب من الألفاظ، وحرصه الشّديد على إيراد الفروقات الدّلاليّة بين لغات العرب، إلّا أنّ المعجم لم ينل شهرة واسعة كالتي نالها معجم (العين) للخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي (ت 175هـ) رغم ظهورهما-المعجمين- في فترة قريبة جدّا، وقد هدفنا من خلال هذا البحث الموسوم "الجهود المعجميّة عند أبي عمرو الشّيبانيّ (ت206هـ) في كتابه الجيم" تسليط الضّوء على منهج الشّيباني في ترتيب ومعالجة مواد معجمه (الجيم)، وعرض بعض النّماذج منه، وتوضيح مكانته بين المعاجم اللّغويّة.

Abstract

The Jeem Dictionary is a heritage linguistic lexicon authored by Abu Amr al-Shaybani, a trustworthy narrator. He was well-known for his immense dedication to the Arabic language in general, but especially in his efforts to collect strange words and poems. His dictionary Jeem is valuable source for the Arabic language due to his efforts to bring together strange words, and his insistence on highlighting the semantic differences between various Arab languages. Although both dictionaries were introduced during a close period, the dictionary didn't receive as much recognition as Al-Ain by Ahmad Al-Farahidi (175 AH) which gained widespread recognition. This research, titled "Lexicographical Efforts of Abu Amr al-Shaybani (206 AH) in his Dictionary Jeem", aims to highlight Al-Shaybani's methodology in organizing and treating the contents of his dictionary", will also provide some notable models, explain its importance among others.
