Abstract
This research deals with a linguistic study of Aissa ibn Omar Al-Hamdani’s reading. The research begins with an introduction to introduce the topic, then a biography of Aissa ibn Omar Al-Hamdani, then a study of the linguistic phenomena in his reading. The inductive and analytical approach was followed in this study through tracing the reading of Aissa ibn Omar Al-Hamdani in the books of readings in order to identify the linguistic phenomena included in this reading, then classifying them and directing them linguistically. This research confirmed that the readings of Aissa ibn Omar Al-Hamdani included phonetic, morphological, and syntactic phenomena. Among the phonetic phenomena are slurring and substitution, tending towards simplification. As for the syntactic phenomena, they include the reading of some words in the nominative case and others in the accusative case. Regarding the morphological phenomena, some words were read in singular form, while others were intensified. The research also confirmed that Aissa ibn Omar Al-Hamdani diverged from the reading of his environment in certain phenomena by choosing to read some words according to the dialect of the Tamim tribe (Basra).
