Teaching in the face of contemporary challenges: Towards more immersive and reflective learning
Abstract :
In the 21st century, teachers must adopt new approaches to improve their teaching practices and build their professional identity. This article focuses on the training of Algerian teacher trainees by analysing teacher-student interactions and classroom behaviour. It highlights the gaps between theoretical input and reality in the field, while emphasising the need for professional support. For this research, we conducted a descriptive study based on a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire addressed to teacher training college students and novice teachers at the beginning of their careers, in order to identify these gaps. The results obtained highlighted the theoretical quality of current training while revealing the need to strengthen the professional component.
