Le nom propre au-delà de sa fonction première –l’acte dénominatif- renseigne sur celui qui le porte. Dans notre humble travail, nous tenterons de dévoiler la relation qu’entretiennent nos personnages avec les noms qui leur ont été attribués. L’onomastique sera donc notre domaine de recherche. Yasmina KHADRA semble avoir usé de cette stratégie pour narrer. Nous focaliserons notre attention sur les noms les plus marquants du récit.

Abstract

The proper name beyond its chief function - the denominative act - informs about the person that bears it. In this humble work, we will try to shed light on the relation that joins the characters to the names they were given. Onomastics will be then the field of our research. Yasmina Khadra seems to have used this method to narrate. We will focus on the most prominent names of the story.
