Le vocabulaire péjoratif : Entre néologisme et créativité langagière
Pejorative vocabulary: Between neologism and linguistic creativity
Résumé
Le présent article se trouve au carrefour de quatre domaines appartenant à la sociolinguistique à savoir : la langue, la culture, la lexicographie et la créativité langagière. Il vise à étudier le vocabulaire péjoratif, produit de la manipulation langagière avec les langues, notamment arabe et française, mais qui finit, dans certaines situations, à trouver une place dans le dictionnaire français traduisant, par ce fait, le phénomène de néologisme/néologie. Or, cette intégration néologique ne véhicule pas seulement l’aspect linguistique du néologisme mais aussi socio-culturel. Notre méthodologie s’appuie sur un échantillon de données tiré des événements socio-politiques vécus par les algériens dans les années précédentes. Au terme de la description et l’analyse du matériau linguistique choisi, nous allons essayer de répondre à la question suivante : Est-ce que le néologisme est un signe de compétence langagière ou richesse lexicographique ? L’étude nous a permis d’aboutir aux résultats suivants : L’environnement extralinguistique à savoir la politique et son régime, le social et ses principes, l’économie et son statut, l’individu et ses compétences langagières et linguistiques, tous ces facteurs et d’autres ont pu participer à la création du néologisme et à la richesse lexicographique.
Abstract:
This article is at the crossroads of four areas belonging to sociolinguistics, namely: language, culture, lexicography and language creativity. It aims to study pejorative vocabulary, the product of linguistic manipulation with languages, particularly Arabic and French; but which ends up, in certain situations, finding a place in the French dictionary; translating, thereby, the phenomenon of neologism/neology. However, this neological integration not only conveys the linguistic aspect of the neologism but also the socio-cultural one. Our methodology is based on a sample of data drawn from socio-political events experienced by Algerians in previous years. At the end of the description and analysis of the chosen linguistic material, we will try to answer the following question: Is the neologism a sign of linguistic competence or lexicographic richness? The study allowed us to arrive at the following results: The extralinguistic environment, namely politics and its regime, the social and its principles, the economy and its status, the individual and their language and linguistic skills, all these factors and others may have participated in the creation of the neologism and lexicographic richness.
