لقد ارتبط منشأ رواية تيار الوعي بالغرب وبالرواية الأميركية، وقد ظهرت لأول مرة في القرن العشرين نتيجة الظروف التي شهدها العالم من حروب وتفكك واغتراب للذات الإنسانية، فنادت الأصوات الإبداعية والروائية بضرورة العودة إلى الذات من جديد، من خلال ابتكار تقنيات أدبية جديدة مستمدة من علم النفس، كالمونلوج الداخلي والمونتاج الزمكاني، والسرد المتشظي والانسيابي. كل ذلك من أجل الاستبطان الداخلي للذات ولتصوير أفكارها الذهنية وحالاتها النفسية المتقلبة. وقد انتقلت هذه الرواية إلى العالم العربي عن طريق الترجمة والاحتكاك بالغرب فبرزت العديد من الأسماء التي جعلت الذات موضوعا أساسيا في رواياتها مغفلة المجتمع، فكل التركيز كان على بواطن الذات ووعيها القريب جدا من اللاوعي. لذلك يأتي أحيانا السرد هذيانيا، يعكس في مرآته تقلبات الذات الساردة التي غالبا ما تكون أحادية مستغنية عن الراوي، لأن روايات تيار الوعي ذات طابع فردي داخلي.

Abstract

The origin of the stream-of-consciousness novel has been linked to the West and the American novel. It appeared in the twentieth century as a result of the circumstances that the world witnessed in terms of wars. Narrative voices called for the necessity of returning to oneself, through the innovation of literary techniques derived from psychology, such as internal monologue and fragmented narration. All for the sake of internal self-introspection and to visualize her mental thoughts. This novel was transmitted to the Arab world through translation, and many names emerged that made the self a fundamental topic in its novels, neglecting society. All the focus was on the interior of the self and its awareness, which is very close to the subconscious.
