The Pedagogy of Scientific and Technical Discourse in a Plurilingual Context

Abstract

We will endeavor to demonstrate in this article some linguistic specificities of support texts intended for a scientific and technical sector, in this case the veterinary sciences, in order to highlight the salient points of them because of their importance in the understanding of scientific texts and techniques used as educational support. Thus, in our analysis, we will base ourselves on dissecting certain pedagogical practices which aim to promote the understanding of specialist support texts.

Résumé

Nous nous efforcerons de démontrer dans cet article quelques spécificités linguistiques de textes supports destinés pour une filière scientifique et technique en l’occurrence les sciences vétérinaires, et ce, pour en dégager les points saillants du fait de leurs importances dans la compréhension des textes scientifiques et techniques utilisés comme support pédagogiques. Ainsi, nous nous baserons dans notre analyse à décortiquer certaines pratiques pédagogiques qui ont pour but de favoriser la compréhension des textes supports de spécialité.
